The Organizing Committee of INTERSPEECH 2014 invites proposals for workshops around INTERSPEECH 2014, which will be held in Singapore on September 14-18, 2014. The theme of INTERSPEECH 2014 is “Celebrating the Diversity of Spoken Languages”.

The Organizing Committee would be pleased to host various workshops and satellite events of INTERSPEECH 2014 in order to stimulate focus areas and research activities related to speech and language. If you are interested in organizing a workshop, or would like a planned event to be listed as an official satellite event, please contact

If you need local contacts in the process, the Workshop Committee is happy to facilitate the communications with local speech community:

  1. In Singapore, INTERSPEECH 2014 main conference venue or local universities
  2. In Phuket Island, Thailand, 1 hr 20 mins flight from Singapore
  3. In Penang, Malaysia, 1 hr flight from Singapore

Proposals should include:

  1. Date and suited location of the workshop
  2. Estimated number of participants
  3. The title, background, organization, and motivation of the workshop
  4. An outline of the program
  5. A list of the technical/scientific committee members
  6. Endorsement from scientific associations

* Proposals for workshops must be submitted by email to before December 1, 2013. Notification of acceptance and ISCA approval/sponsorship will be announced by January 31, 2014.
